Uninsured fees must reflect professional and administrative costs and ability to pay; disclose before providing the service. Do not charge for publicly funded care.
The approved September 2023 policy requires reasonable fees, physician discussion and consent, with consideration of publicly funded alternatives and ability to pay. Its September 2026 review date and current Payment Schedule require confirmation.

Physicians cannot charge for medical-record access, transcription, reproduction or transmission. Other fees require specific RAMQ-status, service, itemized-billing and language review; no Quebec patient-fee schedule is approved here.

Specified third-party examinations are outside the territorial plan, but Workers’ Compensation and other statutory programs may pay. Confirm the actual document, responsible payer and allowable fee before any patient quote.
Specified third-party examinations are outside the territorial plan; other statutory programs may fund them. This is not a general patient-fee authorization. Document classification, local billing and the other payer require approval.
