Regulation 84-20 excludes specified third-party certificates and examinations, with exceptions. Verify the exact purpose and any other statutory payer. Current physician fee rules and an individual price still require approval; insured care must remain separate.

Confirm the actual document, insured assessment, public-plan eligibility and any other payer. No patient fee is approved simply by selecting a province.

Physician authority and care

The virtual-care standard requires a physical clinic or a formal arrangement for timely in-person care.

Verify the clinician’s current registration, identity, competence and patient-location rules. Plan for examination, follow-up and local urgent care when needed.

Workplace documentation

Do not assume every absence needs a note. Check applicable employment standards, workplace agreements and the specific purpose. Federal workplace rules can apply regardless of province.
