Physician discussion brief

doctorsnote.ca

A proposed Canadian physician-led documentation platform. Prepared for partnership discussion; clinical services are not open.

Discuss the model

The opportunity

Make necessary medical documentation easier to understand and administer while protecting physician independence. Build around genuine document needs—not unnecessary sick-note demand or charges for insured care.

Proposed scope

Work and school certificates, return-to-work and accommodation letters, insurance forms, benefit documentation and factual record summaries. Each category has assessment, evidence and payer requirements. Designated, specialist and in-person examinations remain separate.

Practice responsibilities

Pricing discussion

Illustrative—not approved—document fee assumptions: brief factual certificate C$35; individualized letter C$75; multi-page form C$150. Complex forms are quoted separately. Actual fees depend on local rules, the payer, reasonable costs, hardship and tax classification.

A fixed C$299 monthly platform subscription is an editable discussion assumption, not an offered contract. Confirm fair-market administrative services, provincial ownership/commerce rules and fee-splitting restrictions with counsel. No referral commission or percentage of clinical fees is proposed.

Pilot structure

Select one supported jurisdiction and a narrow initial scope. Agree clinical governance, assessment requirements, approved fees, insured pathways, escalation, consent and privacy. Open to patients only after signed clinician arrangements and the operating systems are verified.

What must be agreed

Discussion brief · 2026-10-05 · Not legal advice, a clinical service offer or investment solicitation.
