Fees and coverage

Specified third-party examinations are outside the territorial plan; other statutory programs may fund them. This is not a general patient-fee authorization. Document classification, local billing and the other payer require approval.

Confirm the actual document, insured assessment, public-plan eligibility and any other payer. No patient fee is approved simply by selecting a province.

Physician authority and care

Confirm territorial registration, local clinical escalation and language/accessibility arrangements.

Verify the clinician’s current registration, identity, competence and patient-location rules. Plan for examination, follow-up and local urgent care when needed.

Workplace documentation

Do not assume every absence needs a note. Check applicable employment standards, workplace agreements and the specific purpose. Federal workplace rules can apply regardless of province.
